Deseret News Articles

I spend most of my days trying to meet deadlines and satisfy editors. Welcome to my personal archive of Deseret News articles. I write for the Features and Mormon Times sections of the Deseret News in Salt Lake City, Utah.

One of my most memorable moments ... interviewing Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the LDS Church's Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, with Elder Quentin L. Cook listening in. My heart was pounding.

One of my most memorable moments … interviewing Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the LDS Church’s Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, with Elder Quentin L. Cook listening in. My heart was pounding.

I’m fortunate because most of my stories have an positive, upbeat or fun angle. I’m grateful for that because I’ve had too many opportunities to cover tragic accidents and horrific cases in the courtroom. Not every article link is posted here, but these are the articles of which I am most proud.

If you read any of these articles and have a good idea for a story, send me an email: ttoone(at)deseretnews(dot)com.
